PRESS RELEASE

The Art Spirit Gallery Proudly Presents: “Revealed in Stillness: Landscapes of Light and Reflection” by Wilson Ong
(September 4, 2025 – Coeur d’Alene, Idaho) - The Art Spirit Gallery is delighted to announce its latest collaboration with Gonzaga University School of Law, managing their prestigious Featured Artist Program. This partnership has thrived over the years, thanks to our dedicated staff and dean, guiding the journey from initial planning through installation, sales, and the opening reception. Our involvement ensures that the artwork reaches thousands of viewers throughout the school year, and the artist’s work is celebrated in the annual Gonzaga Law Magazine and distributed worldwide.
This academic year, Gonzaga University School of Law is honored to showcase the exquisite works of painter and illustrator Wilson Ong. His solo exhibition, “Revealed in Stillness: Landscapes of Light and Reflection,” explores themes of serenity, discovery, and the subtle beauty found in stillness. Wilson’s luminous landscapes evoke a sense of peace and revelation that resonates deeply with viewers, inviting reflection and mindfulness.
Born in the San Francisco Bay Area and a graduate of Brigham Young University with a B.F.A. in painting and drawing, Wilson further honed his craft at the Art Students’ League in New York City, studying under acclaimed figurative artists Ted Seth Jacobs and Harvey Dinnerstein. With a professional career spanning nearly four decades, Wilson has exhibited at numerous notable galleries and institutions nationwide, including the Springville Museum of Art, the Butler Institute of American Art, and the Cottage Gallery in Carmel, CA. His works have been celebrated for their luminous quality and emotional depth.
While Wilson’s primary focus has been painting, he also has extensive experience as an art instructor and department chair at the Waterford School in Utah, guiding students to achieve numerous awards and recognitions. Currently based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Wilson dedicates himself to his art and teaches workshops when time allows.
Wilson’s artistic philosophy emphasizes the privilege of painting, especially the human form—a genre that has fascinated him since childhood. His current landscapes continue this pursuit of capturing spontaneous beauty and tranquil reflections, inviting viewers to slow down and embrace stillness.
The Art Spirit Gallery is proud to have managed this exhibit, working closely with Wilson and Gonzaga University’s staff for months leading up to the installation, opening, and ongoing promotion. Our collaboration has not only brought remarkable artwork into the academic environment but has also expanded its reach through publications like the Gonzaga Law Magazine and partnerships with other institutions, including the University of Idaho Schools of Law, with whom we now manage programs at their Moscow and Boise campuses.
We invite the public to experience Wilson Ong’s stunning landscapes and to witness the ongoing success of our partnerships dedicated to enriching community, education, and the arts.
