About the Exhibition

Honest Earth celebrates the rugged beauty and resilience of the land we inhabit. Erin Cassetto’s plein air landscapes capture the serenity of remote wilderness adventures across the Inland Northwest. Kevin Jester’s poetic landscapes and riverscapes evoke a sense of place and wonder through his masterful use of pastels and oils. Kathy Gale’s impressionistic and boldly abstracted landscapes convey the direct, immediate essence of Idaho’s scenic vistas. Complementing these works, Sarah Dargan’s colorful ceramics bring a playful and functional energy to the exhibition, transforming everyday moments into artful experiences grounded in the earth’s bounty.

Together, these artists create a multifaceted narrative about our relationship with the environment—highlighting its beauty, its challenges, and our enduring connection to its stories.

About the Artists

Erin Cassetto
Erin earned a BA in Art and Art History from Drury University and an MFA from Washington State University. An avid hiker and fly fisher, she often ventures into remote wilderness to capture the essence of nature on her canvas. Her landscapes reflect her love of discovery, spontaneity, and the wild outdoors.

Kevin Jester
With a 45-year career in architecture, Kevin has recently applied his artistic talents to landscape and rural scenes in oil and pastel. Inspired by his travels and love of the outdoors, his work explores seasonal moods and the stories embedded in the land.

Kathy Gale
A Spokane native and Gonzaga University graduate, Kathy’s work is rooted in impressionism with a vibrant, abstract edge. Her landscapes portray Idaho’s natural beauty with a straightforward, heartfelt approach.

Sarah Dargan
Based in Helena, Montana, Sarah’s ceramics are characterized by their cheerful geometric patterns and imperfect charm. Her functional pottery brings color and personality to the everyday dinner table, making her pieces favorites among collectors and diners alike.
